Tsuro

#03

13/04/14

The objective of this build was to allow the game to be played by multiple players on the same device. This was a major update to the game engine, hence the longer, three-week sprint. A tuning pass was also done, making this build 4 weeks in total.

  • The tuning pass has addressed most of the game flow issues from the previous build!
  • The pathing system has been completely re-written, making it much slicker.
  • The Dragon Tile and Elimination Bonus have not been implemnted yet.
  • The gameflow can break down towards the end of the game, particularly if a player runs out of tiles. (This will be addressed when the Dragon Tile is added).
  • The “shuffle” animation should be considered placeholder – it will be swapped for a short sparkle effect.
  • You can rename your player by tapping the panel on the top-left (photo functionality will be added at a later date).
  • Path loops are now tracked – the sound effect is a Tibetan singing bowl.
  • There are three ways to play Tsuro together: Classic, Longest Path and Loopiest Path. You can switch between them by tapping the panel on the bottom left once more than one stone has been placed.
