The objective of this build was to produce a functional user interface.

  • The flow of the original demo is playable from start to finish
  • The interface scales automatically for phones and tablet
  • All text is pulled from a localization system (so we are ready for translation into FIGS)
  • Blur was too processor intesive, so it has been dropped (but could still be revisited at a later date)
  • The “hamburger” is not functional yet
  • There are some small bugs that make windows pop out when they shouldn’t
  • The layout for the Game End message still needs a little polish
  • A few online elements (the slider and leaderboard) have been made, but will not appear until the respective functionality is hooked up
  • Animations and game-flow require tuning (some objects pass through each other and the flow isn’t “slick” enough just yet)
  • It is possible to break the game-flow by interacting with the tiles too early (notably if you tap/drag a tile before the placement glow appears)
